Shortlist.Me

Video interviews are being used by companies more and more frequently as part of their selection process for internships and graduate roles.

Shortlist.Me is a platform on which you can practice video interviews by recording yourself answering popular interview questions, watch your answers back and get useful tips on what employers are looking for.

All students at Imperial have access to Shortlist.Me. Simply visit the Imperial x Shortlist.Me webpage, select one of the various practice video interviews and register using your @imperial.ac.uk email address.  You will then receive an email containing instructions and a unique web link for your interview.

Don’t forget to also read through our Interviews webpage and that you can book a mock interview with one of our careers consultants should you be interested.

LinkedIn Learning

If you’re looking to grow your career or enhance your CV with additional skills, look no further than LinkedIn Learning.

This service acts as an online library of instructional videos taught by industry experts that help you to learn software tools and skills including MATLAB, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SOLIDWORKS and Python.

All staff and students at Imperial have free access to LinkedIn Learning. Simply head to the Imperial LinkedIn Learning Portal and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your personal profile, remembering to use your college log in credentials.

You can find more helpful information and tips for perfecting CVs and landing jobs on our Applications and interviews webpages.

Additional Resources

We would be remiss if we didn’t also remind you of the excellent resources available to you through the Careers Service.

Check out our Career Snapshots playlist for a series of informational videos on how we can offer advice and support to you through the application and selection process.

A wide variety of employer-led and centrally run Careers Service events take place throughout the year. You can find more information and register for these on JobsLive.

Be sure to visit the Careers video library to find the recordings from past events you may have missed.
