Do you want to share your experience studying at Imperial with future students?

Our Student Recruitment ambassador scheme offers you the chance to represent Imperial across a variety of different events and activities. You’ll have the opportunity to offer tangible examples of how your time at Imperial has benefitted you early in your career.

What are the criteria to apply?

We're looking for a recent graduate who...

  • Has graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Medicine, Natural Sciences and the Business School within the past five years.
  • Is enthusiastic about their time at Imperial and has utilised their degree and/or experience at the College to further their career.
  • Is comfortable sharing their personal experience of studying at Imperial and happy to answer questions about moving to the UK and living in London, and their career since graduating.
  • For the Business School, we are also looking for alumni who have graduated with an online degree.

You would not be expected to give detailed guidance on admissions processes or requirements, however you will be given training on how to signpost such questions.

What are my benefits?

  • (Re)connect with the College and learn about what’s going on at Imperial.
  • An opportunity to share your experience and inspire the next generation of Imperial students.
  • A chance to support the College and help us to attract the best and brightest students.

What are Imperial’s expectations?

This voluntary role gives you access to fantastic opportunities within Imperial’s alumni network, but it is also a responsibility that requires commitment, careful planning and thought when interacting with prospective students, parents/careers and offer holders.

All volunteers will be expected to act to the highest standards of ethical integrity in accordance with Imperial’s Ethics Code. You will need to sign a Student Recruitment Volunteer Agreement.

How much time do I need to commit?

Recruitment events usually take place in between September and December while offer holders take place between March and May. You are expected to support one to two events per year with a commitment ranging from half a day to 1.5 hours per event.

How can I apply?

If you are interested in sharing your experience with prospective students and offer holders, please register your interest by completing this short online form. We will be in touch to arrange an informal conversation and provide further guidance if you are selected for the role.

This is an ongoing opportunity, but we encourage you to register your interest as soon as possible as registration will close once we have enough volunteers.

For any questions for the Central College team, please contact Kristin Gembiak (Alumni Engagement Officer - Groups and International) at k.gembiak@imperial.ac.uk and Marina Mennella (Alumni Relations and Volunteering Executive) at m.mennella@imperial.ac.uk for the Business School.
