Skempton Building to reopen on Monday 15 July

Colleagues have been hard at work this week to repair damage caused by a significant water leak in the Skempton Building on our South Kensington Campus.

Thanks to their swift action, the Skempton Building will reopen to staff and students at 08.00 on Monday 15 July. This is with the exception of a small number of spaces (approximately 20 rooms) which need to remain closed for further repair.

The building will remain closed tomorrow (Friday 12 July) and across the weekend to allow for a deep clean to be completed.

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering will message students and staff tomorrow (Friday 12 July) with detailed information on which areas of the building will be reopened on Monday, and the small number of areas which need to remain closed.

A huge thanks to everyone affected by the closure for your understanding and patience, and to those who have led on the repairs for their hard work.
