This book captures the elusive Zorro as no one else could.

Every generation has its Zorro.

Whether you found the masked avenger through the pulp magazines or the books or comics or television or the movies this wondrous collection will bring hours of enjoyment and memories of adventures riding a horse with a cape fluttering behind and a sword at your side.

One of the most enduring pulp heroes, Zorro, finally gets his due with this handsome collection just in time for the 100th year anniversary. Zorro’s appeal has spread all around the world and was one of the inspirations for Batman.

Each era in Zorro’s chronology Is described in detail with ample illustrations and pictures. This includes the books by Johnston McCulley and more recently Isabel Allende, as well as Republic serials, and many reproductions of movie posters all in brilliant color. Even the most dedicated of Zorro fans will see rare pictures.

This thorough collection even includes children’s books where some of us first discovered Zorro.

Pictures of Guy Williams and other scenes from the Disney TV show broadcast in the late fifties will stir long forgotten memories as will the pages devoted to toys, collectibles, and gaming. The more recent animated incarnations of Zorro have recruited younger fans.

Beautifully crafted, well written, and weighing in at over 200 pages, The Mark of Zorro: 100 Years of the Masked Avenger is a treasure chest of memories that should be on display in the home of every fan of adventure and justice.
