Offers early Super-Man stories in which the Man of Steel deals with corrupt officials, blackmarketeers, and costumed villains with occasional help from Lois Lane.
Jerome "Jerry" Siegel, who also used pseudonyms including Joe Carter, Jerry Ess, and Herbert S. Fine, was the American co-creator of Superman (along with Joe Shuster), the first of the great comic book superheroes and one of the most recognizable icons of the 20th century. He and Shuster were inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1993.
Good news is Jerry Siegel is still writing the stories, save for a few by Don Cameron which are not good. Cameron seems intent on turning Superman into more of a clown figure. Bad news is Joe Shuster only draws one tale. However the art by Ed Dobrotka is good. He draws an especially lovely and slim Lois. The other artists do not cut it. Still there's enough of the original atmosphere to make it acceptable although you can see a steady downhill slide in the making.
