Columbus, Ohio –October 6, 2023 – Gilbane Building Company is pleased to announce that Stan Hendricks has been named the company’s business leader in Columbus, Ohio, after previously serving as preconstruction director for the Midwest Division. In his new role, Hendricks will oversee all projects and employees in the local area while driving consistency and excellence in Gilbane’s approach to innovative construction, community involvement, and strategic growth in the market.

Hendricks has nearly 25 years of experience in construction and joined Gilbane in September 2019. He most recently served as preconstruction director for the Midwest Division, overseeing all design-phase efforts like scheduling, estimating, procurement, virtual design and construction, and constructability for Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan offices. Stan has extensive experience working directly with clients across the company’s diverse portfolio of markets and delivery methods.

“Stan has been an influential leader for our project teams and sets the bar high for continued success in Columbus,” said Brett Meyer, senior vice president at Gilbane Building Company. “Not only does Stan bring a passion for construction, he truly cares about the team and community he is a part of. His commitment to our core values is unmatched and exemplifies why he is the right person for this role.”

“I am thrilled to lead our Columbus team during an exciting time of growth and development in the city,” said Stan Hendricks. “I look forward to continuing our long history of delivering significant buildings throughout Columbus and our commitment to positively impacting the local community.”

Many of Gilbane’s key projects in the Columbus region, like the Merchant Building in downtown Columbus’ North Market, the mass excavation and site enabling project for Intel in New Albany, and The Ohio State University’s Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center, were expertly planned during preconstruction under Stan’s leadership. Stan also plays a critical role in Gilbane’s community efforts as a volunteer with the ACE Mentor Program of Columbus, encouraging high school students to pursue a career in architecture, construction, engineering, or the trades. Additionally, Stan participates in mentoring local small and diverse businesses through Gilbane’s Rising Contractor program.

Hendricks holds a Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School, a Master of Business Administration from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Purdue University. Before joining Gilbane, Stan served as chief operating officer of Quandel Enterprises in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and regional preconstruction senior project manager for Clark Construction Group in Chicago, Illinois.
