Overview

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMH) is an industry leader in the manufacture of material handling solutions, including tuggers and forklifts. Faced with an aging security infrastructure with key products falling out of license, the time had come for TMH to modernize its systems.

Driving Innovation and Security

Aiming to increase network visibility, reduce vulnerabilities, and close down the risk of east-west lateral movement, TMH turned to Fortinet to upgrade its core and LAN networks. The company has subsequently deployed FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) at the network edge, FortiSwitch Ethernet switches, and FortiAP wireless access points. The FortiGates are managed by FortiManager for centralized control. Meanwhile, to help secure its OT environment TMH deployed a FortiDeceptor deception solution for breach protection and more visibility. With these and other Fortinet solutions in place, TMH benefits from more proactive security controls and significant time savings for its IT team.

– Christopher Garcia, Senior Network Architect, Toyota Material Handling
