COOP
Latin America’s Largest Consumer Cooperative Ensures Connectivity and a Secure Transition to the Cloud with Fortinet Solutions
Download Case StudyCoop is the largest consumer cooperative in Latin America. However, as Coop expanded its business, factors including cable theft and power outages meant that its stores experienced unreliable connectivity, which impacted its operations. The company needed a cost-effective way to increase network reliability and performance and keep its business running smoothly.
Coop has deployed the FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN across its main office, support areas, drugstores, supermarkets, and gas stations, to connect 80 locations in total. Coop also uses 350 FortiAP wireless access points and FortiSwitch Ethernet switches to provide a reliable and secure internet connection for employees and customers. In addition, the company has deployed the FortiAnalyzer Cloud solution to gain visibility of its security operation. Most recently, the company rolled out FortiGate Virtual Machines (VM) to help with its journey to a multi-cloud environment. With Fortinet, Coop has seen an end to its connectivity woes with a solution that boosts network performance and provides an infrastructure that is easy to scale as the company grows.
