Jenny Ryan, known as The Vixen on The Chase, was barely recognisable as she stepped out for a glamorous evening.

The 42-year-old quiz whizz dazzled in a sequinned rainbow dress at an awards ceremony in London. She took a break from her demanding role on The Chase to attend the Silver Clef Awards.

Jenny joined other celebrities at The Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday night.

She looked worlds away from her stern quizzing alter-ego as she arrived at the awards in a glittery wrap dress with an animal print. Jenny paired her outfit with sheer black tights and chunky lace-up boots.

The television personality sported lilac glasses and let her iconic red hair down, reports the Mirror.

Jenny flashed a smile at the camera as she posed for photos and was accompanied on the red carpet by artist Thomas Wolski. The duo playfully flashed peace signs as they joked around.

AC/DC were honoured with the Legend Award, while Chaka Khan received the Global Impact Award. Jessie Ware won Best Female, Loyle Carner was named Best Male and The 1975 took home the award for Best Group.

The Chase's very own Jenny Ryan recently took to Twitter to share her exasperating experience with 'fat shaming' during a telephone appointment with her GP.

In a biting tweet, she remarked: "Isn't modern life great?" She elaborated: "Your GP can now fat-shame you over the phone, so you don't have to waste time travelling and sitting in a waiting room before being made to feel awful about your own existence!".

Jenny recounted the conversation where her doctor inquired about her weight, only to respond with: "Oh... That's 'significantly' lower than last time, well done. Not good enough though, is it?"

Around the same period, Jenny was subjected to an abhorrent comment from an online troll who branded her a "fat b***h".

A member of Jenny's team hit back with sarcasm: "Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Messages to this page are monitored by Jenny's admin team. We can pass on messages or answer questions. Thank you for your message. You seem like a decent chap which obviously gives you the right to body shame and demean women. Your loved ones must be really proud of you!".

Attending the press night of Sunset Boulevard at The Savoy Theatre in London, Jenny dazzled in her satin green wrap dress, complemented by an eye-catching necklace and her signature black-rimmed spectacles.
