Holly Willoughby's luck could finally be changing, according to an expert.

The 43-year-old television star has taken a step back from the spotlight in recent weeks following a slew of unfortunate events.

Her year got off to a rocky start when it was revealed her This Morning co-host and pal Phillip Schofield had been lying about an "unwise, but not illegal" affair with a young male colleague who worked on the show.

The bombshell revelation resulted in the pair stepping down from their long-running role on the hit ITV daytime show after over a decade of presenting together.

And it wasn't just Holly's on-screen life that took a turn for the worst as things were also getting rather stressful at home.

Gavin Plumb, 37, is alleged to have masterminded his "ultimate fantasy" by assembling tools to help him attack and kidnap the TV presenter between 2021 and 2023.

The security guard, from Harlow, Essex, was arrested on October 6 and charged after unwittingly disclosing his alleged plan to an undercover police officer from the US.

He is currently facing trial at Chelmsford Crown Court after denying all charges made against him.

With the worst hopefully behind her, Social Media Expert for TV, Film & Entertainment Harvey Morton has shared how he thinks there is a silver lining for Holly.

Harvey pointed out: "Holly Willoughby has had a really turbulent time after the fallout of Phillip Schofield leaving This Morning and her subsequent departure, and to be dealing with the ongoing trial with Gavin Plumb at the same time - it's hard to imagine what she must have been going through and how she has coped with it all."

Despite that, he noted: "Holly has some exciting opportunities on the horizon, we know she is going to be hosting Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls for Netflix and it's likely she will earn in the region of £1m for this."

Harvey also believes there is an opportunity for Holly to profit off of her woes, adding: "There's a real opportunity for Holly to document what she has been going through in a book.

"I'm sure the public would love to hear her thoughts on what we have all seen in the press over the last year," the entertainment expert shared, as he pointed out: "And many publishers would love this too.

"There's no doubt if Holly was to share her story, it would be a bestseller."

Harvey also suggested: "There's also an opportunity for Holly to reinvent herself, and to distance herself from This Morning and the trial, I think the new Netflix series will be the start of her new chapter."
