Using Collectors to Onboard Data

After finishing this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge needed to deploy and configure Site Collectors and Cloud Collectors to onboard logs into the Exabeam Security Operations Platform. After reviewing the end-to-end log ingestion process, you’ll learn to install and configure New-Scale Site Collector Core. You’ll then explore the collectors in the Collectors Library used for onboarding on-prem log data. For onboarding cloud logs into the platform, you’ll learn about New-Scale Cloud Collectors, and you’ll get an overview of Cloud Connectors in Exabeam’s old architecture.

The hands-on lab exercises will give you practice installing and configuring a New-Scale Site Collector, onboarding and validating syslog log data in the platform, onboarding and validating Windows logs using Windows Event Log Collector (WELC), installing Windows Active Directory Collector (WADC) as a first step in pulling valuable context into the platform, and installing and configuring a webhook Cloud Collector.

Admins and engineers will gain practical experience with Site Collectors and Cloud Collectors for onboarding both on-premises and cloud-based log data into the Exabeam Security Operations Platform. Students will be challenged to demonstrate their comprehension throughout the course with the help of a course assessment, in-class activities, and lab exercises.
