Stereotactic neurosurgery is a minimally invasive neurosurgical specialty that is used to localize and treat the smallest targets deep inside the brain. It is used for therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, placement of electrodes for deep brain stimulation, injections, aspirations and lesioning.
