The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the official name for what we call the UK. It consists of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Most of Ireland is now independent.

Few wilderness areas remain in England but there is a push to reclaim some of the land. One example an area that has been reclaimed by wilderness is the North Pennines in northern England. Another park is the Green Forest National Park. The National Park is not too far from London. The Park is designated eco-friendly. As well the park includes some shoreline. Wildlife conservation is the primary focus of Shepreth Wildlife Park. A hedgehog hospital is also located within the Park. The Wildlife Park is open to the public.
