How to exploit the duplication glitch in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features a vast open world to explore that's filled to the brim with materials to find – many of which you can sell to earn rupees for spending on new gear or other helpful items. However, if you'd like to skip some of the grind of finding materials and selling them for profits, there's an item duplication glitch in the game that will allow you to earn an endless amount of rupees.

It's worth noting, though, that doing so takes away some of the incentive to explore Hyrule thoroughly and can break the in-game economy by trivializing currency altogether. If you're OK with that, here's how to duplicate items.

How to duplicate items

Duplicating items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a multistep process that requires a bit of thought and careful timing, and you'll need to have two bows in your inventory to make it work. When you're ready to try it out, here's a step-by-step explanation.

Step 1: Equip and aim one of your bows.

Step 2: Fuse the material you want to duplicate to the arrow by pressing Upon the D-pad and selecting it from your inventory.

Step 3: Aim your bow directly up into the sky. Do not fire the arrow. Pause the game by pressing +. .

Step 4: Find the bow you have equipped and drop it, then equip the identical bow,

Step 5: This is the tricky part that you might have to try a few times. You're going to quickly unpause and repause the game before the bow you dropped hits the ground by tapping + twice. Aiming up at the sky before jumping into your inventory gives you a little more extra time for this maneuver.

Step 6: Back in your inventory, select and drop the second bow you equipped.

If you pull off the timing just right, both bows you dropped should have the material you fused on it.

Don't worry if you messed up the timing on this glitch, as it won't waste the material you're trying to duplicate. You can simply pick both of the bows back up and keep trying. The glitch works with any material that can be fused to an arrow, so if you're willing to take the time to do so, you can get as many of anything you want.

Soulslike games are known for being immense challenging, and Another Crab's Treasure is no different despite its cutesy vibe. You'll be certain to have quite a lot of challenges to overcome as you fight your way through this underwater world, and you'll want to always be at your best as you do it. As such, you may find yourself wanting to reallocate your skill points at certain times, especially during the first half of the game when you have limited resources for getting new skills. Below, we'll tell you how to respec in Another Crab's Treasure.
How to respec
You won't be able to assign skills or respec them until you've advanced the game to the point where you reach the Moon Snail's Domain. You'll see an option to "Refund Skills" when speaking to the Moon Snail. However, this will cost you a Shark Egg, which is an exceedingly rare item that you can't get until you've progressed a little bit further into the game.

The easiest way to get a Shark Egg is to head over to the Prawn Shop in the lower section of New Carcinia, which is the game's main hub that you'll reach after defeating a few main bosses and moving the story forward a bit. Speak to the owner there to purchase up to two Shark Eggs for 2,000 microplastics each. Beyond the Prawn Shop, these elusive items can be found in a few clam shells throughout the game, and they'll more rarely drop from elite enemies — though the drop rate appears to be very, very low.

Another Crab's Treasure no doubt looks like a kid-friendly game, but hiding beneath its charming and cute exterior is a challenging soulslike experience that can test the mettle of genre veterans. Those who either can't or don't want to engage with such intense difficulty throughout this underwater adventure can make great use of a variety of assists. Among these is a rather shocking, but hilarious option that can completely negate nearly all of the game's challenge while providing some laughs along the way. Here's how to get a gun in Another Crab's Treasure.
How to get a gun
To give yourself a gun in Another Crab's Treasure, head over to the Settings menu. Navigate to Assist Mode at the bottom of the menu, then scroll to the bottom once more to a setting called Give Kril a Gun. Toggle this on, then back out and resume your game to find that Kril now has a massive pistol on his back in place of a shell.

This new gun on your back provides you with more than just a funny visual, though -- it actually allows you to shoot and kill any enemy in a single hit, nearly eliminating all of the challenge from the game. Additionally, if you're after trophies or achievements, the first time you shoot a crab with the gun will also unlock "This Kills the Crab."

How to unlock fast travel in Another Crab’s Treasure

Another Crab's Treasure is a fantastical soulslike set deep under the ocean where danger lurks around every corner. And like other games in the genre, it's often brutally difficult to overcome the various challenges you'll encounter. As such, you may find yourself wanting to backtrack for level grinding, to uncover new secrets, or to buy additional items in the game's main hub. However, you may notice early in the game that you haven't yet unlocked the ability to fast travel between the multitude of Moon Snail Shells (aka "bonfires") you've found. Here's how and when you'll unlock fast travel.
How to unlock fast travel
In the opening hours of the game, you may notice that you can access your skill tree, which will show a skill called Shelleportation. But you may be discouraged to see that you aren't able to apply any points to it yet. That's because the game doesn't open up this feature until you've advanced a few hours into the story.

To unlock fast travel, you'll need to work your way through the first few main areas of the game until you reach a boss called the Polluted Platoon Pathfinder. After beating this baddie, you'll soon find yourself teleporting to the Moon Snail's Domain. Here, you'll learn about the power of Umami, as well as unlock access to your skill tree.
