This year was full of fantastic games and they were all celebrated at this year’s Game Awards.

Between all of the new game premieres and release date announcements, the industry handed out several awards to some of our favorite games. Heading into the show, Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 and Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 had the most nominations — and they earned multiple awards each.

This new Battlefield crossover might be your best bet for more Dead Space

The Dead Space remake might've come out a year and a half ago, but Electronic Arts is bringing it back for a short time. The developer announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday that there will be a Dead Space crossover with Battlefield 2042.

The Season 7 event will take place from July 9-16, and will feature a limited-time mode called "Outbreak." From the short teaser posted online, it looks like your typical PvE extraction mode, where players enter an area overflowing with Necromorph enemies, kill as many as they can, and try to escape.

Nintendo president says company won’t use generative AI in its games

Despite other video game corporations implementing generative AI technology, Nintendo has taken a quietly public negative stance on the issue.

According to an investor Q&A from late June (spotted and translated by Tweaktown), President Shuntaro Furukawa said that while the company remains open to experimenting with technological advancements like generative AI, there are no plans to use it while creating new games due to problems with copyright.
