Attending a training webinar to find out more by Rachel Sale
Get in touch and stay in touch with someone I know living with dementia:
I will make regular visits to my neighbor who is living with dementia. I will ensure to check in on them weekly, offering companionship and support to help reduce feelings of isolation.
Volunteer for an organisation that helps people with dementia:
I will volunteer at a local dementia care center once a week, assisting with activities and providing support to the staff and residents.
Campaign for change:
I will actively participate in local awareness campaigns about dementia, advocating for better care facilities and support systems for people living with dementia.
Wear my badge and tell five friends about the Dementia Friends initiative:
I will proudly wear my Dementia Friends badge and engage in conversations with at least five friends to inform them about the initiative and encourage them to become Dementia Friends as well.
Personal Action:
I will organize a community awareness event in my neighborhood to educate people about dementia, its impacts, and how they can support individuals and families affected by it. This event will include inviting a local expert to speak and providing informational materials to attendees. Additionally, I will encourage my family members, including my brother, to attend the event and consider becoming Dementia Friends. by Patrick Keegan
