Senior Manager, Event Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Create ticketing revenue forecasts based on historical analyses, learnings and best practices using Google spreadsheets
  • Develop a well-reasoned and data based marketing strategy based on event strategy/goals, historical analyses, learnings and best practices to drive ticket purchases
  • Translate marketing strategy into tactical marketing plan that recommends the most appropriate mix of owned and operated media, trade media, and email marketing across various campaigns. This includes but it is not limited to laying out tactical plan by week/day to reach ticketing revenue goals and creating a corresponding list of required creative assets
  • Translate tactical marketing plan into a creative strategy, including writing creative briefs that provide sufficient information to the Creative Services team and includes consumer insights and potential angles on messaging
  • Directly manage web presence, including but not limited to creating an overall content plan for each event, in partnership with the Events team, creating a project plan to keep vendor and all stakeholders coordinated on deliverables
  • Lead reporting across all activities to ensure that the most accurate reporting is available in order to make data-driven and accurate decisions and relevant intervals
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Recommend enhancements to current process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Events team in managing the entirety of the life of each event, including kick-offs, weekly/periodic updates and planning/status meetings, ad hoc meetings to discuss discrete topics such as, revenue forecasts and create updates
  • Coach, lead, develop and provide performance feedback for the Events Marketing Specialist

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing content or products
  • Demonstrated ability to create high quality, accurate, revenue forecasts
  • Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Solid background writing high quality creative briefs and directing creative work
  • Very strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Advanced leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaborative efforts to execute multiple events successfully 
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members; ability to delegate tasks efficiently
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Docs, web search, databases)

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $112,500 - $125,000 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs.  Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position.  At The L.A.
