Hey, Shrill fans, wanna hear some pretty exciting news? Cosmo not only has the first photos from season 2 of Aidy Bryant’s hit Hulu series, but we also have the official release date for all eight new episodes. Get ready to mark those calendars, fam.
The show, based on writer Lindy West’s memoir, Shrill: Notes From a Loud Woman, follows Annie (Aidy), a young journalist dealing with her mostly trash boyfriend and a complicated relationship with her parents and living in a world that too often looks down on women with her body type. What makes the show truly radical, though, is that Annie’s learning not to give a shit about society’s expectations and criticisms because she *gasp* loves and respects herself.
Yeah, it’s not a huge surprise that audiences want a season 2. Here’s everything we know so far.

Drumroll, please...Cosmo can exclusively report that Hulu will be dropping all eight episodes of Shrill season 2 on January 24, 2020.

Annie starts the season on a high. She has faced her demons head on—her mom, her boss, and her troll—and she’s feeling pretty good. She also has her boyfriend, Ryan (Luka Jones), by her side. But the high doesn’t last long.
Annie realizes that quitting her job was a hasty move. Things aren’t perfect with Annie’s mom either. She cleared the air, but the old problems are still there and there is way more to deal with.
When it comes to relationships, Annie thought she wanted Ryan’s commitment and love, but that may have been a hasty move as well. It’s nice to have someone, but is Ryan really the right match for her? She’s career-focused and ambitious and he’s…not.
Meanwhile, Fran (Lolly Adefope) is dealing with a breakup and figuring out what she really wants out of her life too. This season, Annie is no longer the doormat she once was, but it’s not as easy as she thought to get what she always imagined she wanted.
