A group of Travellers have parked up at Tregurra Park and Ride on the outskirts of Truro. Around 15 caravans, with associated vehicles, parked up on the site on Monday afternoon, near the city's Waitrose store and recycling centre.

They initially settled on the main parking area, which may have forced the Park and Ride to close - but then moved to an overflow parking area, driving over grass and pavements to reach it.

However, this has put them in the way of theatre company, Hall for Cornwall, which uses the occupied parking area for lorries used by touring productions. The performing arts company has been notified they will not be able to do so while the Travellers are parked there.

Devon and Cornwall Police and Cornwall Council have been contacted for comment, while bus operator, First Kernow, has also been made aware of the situation.
