DVI (Digital Visual Interface) is one kind of possible digital video input found on monitors and computers. The DVI connection requires its own specialized cable. DVI allows content providers to limit the quality of the component video outputs, and your ability to record the content. Unlike HDMI, DVI requires a separate audio cable to carry the audio signals.
