The redesigned Accord has four up-level trims that are hybrid-only.
They use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder combined with electric drive to produce 204 hp.
Not only is the hybrid more fuel-efficient, at 40 mpg overall, 8 mpg more than the conventional Accord, but it's more pleasant to drive, thanks to ample oomph and simulated shifts.
It can propel itself on electric power at low speeds.
The Accord Hybrid goes through turns with fluidity and rides well.
The front seat loses support quickly, but the generously-sized rear seat is comfy.
All hybrid models come with Honda's largest-ever touchscreen--a 12.3-in.
