Hyundai’s upscale brand, Genesis, can compete shoulder to shoulder with the world’s best. Looking to compete with the best from BMW, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz (among others), the brand offers a variety of sedans and SUVs. This brand, too, is venturing into EV territory with the GV60—an SUV-like hatchback that shares a platform with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6—and the Electrified GV70 SUV and Electrified G80 sedan. We find the latest Genesis models impressive in their ride and handling balance, nice levels of fit and finish, and lots of standard advanced driver assistance systems. Unfortunately the once easy-to-use controls have become more complicated. Reliability is a mixed bag.
