Talking Cars 427: Car Seats and Child Passenger Safety

The video podcast takes you behind the scenes of Consumer Reports’ car seat testing

Coinciding with Child Passenger Safety Week, this special episode of the Talking Cars video podcast comes to you from the contracted test labs where Consumer Reports conducts crash tests of child seats for our ratings. In this behind-the-scenes look, we explain the science of how child car seats are evaluated for their crash protection.

We also provide a checklist of the key things to pay attention to when using and installing car seats.

This podcast episode coincides with Consumer Reports’ launch of a number of new resources and ratings focused on having a new baby, including free ratings for car seats.
