Talking Cars 382: Driving the Audi Q4 E-Tron
Plus, we discuss the impact of flooding on electric cars
Main theme: We share our first impressions of the 2022 Audi Q4 E-Tron compact SUV. Although this new, upscale EV shares a platform with the Volkswagen ID.4 and is sized somewhere in between Audi’s Q3 and the Q5, it actually looks shockingly normal. That is, it doesn’t have attention-grabbing styling like some competing models, such as the Genesis GV6 or Kia EV6. We also discuss whether the Q4’s 241-mile driving range is robust enough to compete with models like the Ford Mustang Mach-E or Tesla Model Y.
Audience question: With reports of electric cars catching fire after being flooded, is it dangerous to own one in a flood-prone area? Find out what to do if your car is damaged in a storm.
