Main theme: The 2019 Detroit auto show.

This week's Talking Cars panelists discuss how automakers are constantly trying to one-up each other. Every year at Detroit's premier automotive event, the cars, trucks, and SUVs get bigger, more powerful, and more advanced.

Our experts talk about the future of the Detroit show in this latest podcast, and how things will be different next year when the 2020 show moves from its chilly January confines to a more comfortable June date.

Filmed right on the show floor, our experts discuss new sports cars, including the Ford Shelby GT500, Subaru STI S209, and Toyota Supra.

The panel also discusses the latest additions to the booming SUV field: the luxurious Cadillac XT6, redesigned Ford Explorer, and all-new Kia Telluride.

And the Talking Cars crew couldn't help but be amazed about the announcement that the redesigned heavy-duty Ram pickup truck will be available with a turbo diesel engine capable of producing 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque.
