EcoFlow Portable Power Station RIVER 2 Pro 4th July commerce image
EcoFlow/CNET

The Fourth of July sales are still going strong as the week starts to wind down and there are plenty of big discounts just waiting for you to take advantage of them. A portable power station can be a real boon if you're planning any off-grid summer adventures and now is the perfect time to pick up one of the more popular models at a price you can't afford to ignore. The EcoFlow River 2 Pro was formerly our pick as the best budget portable power station, and at $370 at Walmart right now, it's down to its lowest price to date. This deal means that you'll save $229 off the original $599 asking price, but it won't stay that way for long.

The EcoFlow River 2 Pro is an excellent offering, especially if you're not wanting to spend a ton. Although it's been replaced as our favorite budget pick in recent times, it's still a capable power station, and this price tag makes for an even better value. (Our current pick, the Bluetti AC70, is currently $429, for comparison.) The battery is rated at 768 Watt-hours, and in our testing, it was able to use 82.6% of the battery's capacity. It was also able to charge fully in just over an hour, which means you can top it up in a pinch and get a lot of power backup.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

Walmart has marked this as a flash deal, which means that this deep discount may not last too long. In comparison, it's currently on sale at $379 on Amazon for Prime members, but Walmart's deal is beating that price as well, making it a solid pick among all of Walmart's Fourth of July deals. So if you've been considering getting a power station to keep your tech powered on the go, or just to stay connected through power outages, grab this deal before it expires.
