Since joining Boston Metal in 2017 as employee #6, Tadeu has led the company through massive growth, oversubscribed funding rounds, significant scientific developments and the opening of Boston Metal do Brasil.

He brings nearly 50 years of metals industry experience and deep expertise in global strategy, technology development and customer-focused growth. During Tadeu’s 28 years at CBMM (10 of those as CEO), he grew revenue from $100M to over $2B and led an 800% increase in the global niobium market. Tadeu holds a bachelor’s and master’s in metallurgical engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.

Tadeu is also a metallurgical engineer, an invited lecturer for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT, the lead independent director at Ivanhoe Mines and an advisory board member at Brigham Women’s Heart and Vascular Center.

Itamar is leading Boston Metal do Brasil, our subsidiary focused on recovering high-value metals from mining waste.

With nearly 50 years of experience in the global metals and mining industry, Itamar is well-versed in leading teams and companies to succeed. He has over 20 years of C-suite experience and held leadership roles at LSM Brazil (AMG), LSM UK (AMG), Mineracao Taboca and Sigma Lithium. Itamar holds a bachelor’s in metallurgical engineering from Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP) and a master’s in electrometallurgy from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

Fernanda oversees the administration of Boston Metal, including human resources, financial operations, IT, risk management, supply chain, compliance and legal affairs. She brings over 20 years of executive experience in these fields as well as in investor relations and government relations in the metals and mining industry.

She started her career working as tax advisor at PwC where she provided services to a range of global enterprises. Fernanda holds a bachelor’s in law, a master’s in corporate law from Ibmec and a master’s in business law from Fundação Getulio Vargas.

As the Director of Industrial Operations, Eduardo oversees multiple cross-functional teams at Boston Metal do Brasil . He brings 23 years of engineering, management and technical experience in the industry.

During his five years at Largo Inc., Eduardo led general maintenance management and capital engineering for two sites where he improved cost adherence, increased availability and reliability of production plants and implemented a successful expansion. He spent five years with AMG Mining, managing the maintenance of mechanical, electrical and civil areas of the business. He also worked with Anglo American and LSM Brazil in the metallurgical and chemical sector. Eduardo’s variety of experience has prepared him to successfully lead and optimize Boston Metal do Brasil’s growing operations.

Eduardo holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the Universidade Federal de São João del Rei (UFSJ) and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Gustavo brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the mining and metals industry, with a specialized focus on the niobium market, to his role as Commercial Director at Boston Metal do Brasil. His tenure includes significant leadership roles within CBMM, the world’s foremost producer of niobium products, where he spearheaded operations across Europe and Asia. Gustavo’s strategic leadership in these regions contributed to remarkable growth, enhancing annual revenues and profitability.

An expert in the niobium market and related metals, Gustavo has influenced strategic decisions at the highest levels, advising on niobium supply stability for the European Commission and engaging in critical discussions on sustainability, carbon neutrality and circularity. He served as an advisor to WA1 Resources in Australia, contributing his expertise to the development of their world-class niobium discovery.

Gustavo holds a postgraduate degree in finance from Fundação Dom Cabral and a bachelor’s in business administration with a focus on international trade. He has furthered his education with executive programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD, focusing on leadership in the digital era and advanced industrial marketing strategies.
