The Psychedelic Furs brought their classic alternative sound. Richard' s voice is stronger than ever. The joy he has in still performing and getting the love back from the audience is contagious. Mars and Rich's bring the new songs off Made of Rain to life. Zach keeps the energy and beat alive and with a whole new level. Tim has his classic poses and rhythm always interactive and entertaining. Amanda is the glue that holds the beautiful chaos together.
Seeing the Furs is always a pleasure.
Robert Glaper is the perfect artist to showcase the best acts to give homage to 50 years of hip-hop. Everybody wants a gig with "Rob" as his rap buddies called him. Rob performs in every genre and does it better than anyone. A Glasper show is like a family jam session. The 50 show had surprise guests Rhapsody, Lupe Fiasco and Common (who ran in after a party at VP Harris' house and didn't miss a beat). The DJ set the stage, rocked the house and there was Cole comedy too. My seats were great and the sound system was on point. Great show all around. That's why I came up from Atlanta to see it.
John Fogerty put on an amazing show and was very enthusiastic in his singing, guitar playing, and storytelling. I expected it to be good, but was even better.
His son's band, Hardy Har opened and they were great. It was like CCR with a keyboardist influenced by the Cars with moments reminiscent of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. I'd see them again even without John Fogerty.
John Fogerty was great. Can’t say enough about his performance. The opener group, Hardy Har with 2 of John’s sons fronting the group was very entertaining but I will say that at my age they were a bit loud for my taste. All in all worth every cent. This was my fist time at the venue and it was wonderful
John Fogerty is a legend, an icon, and boy did he prove it tonight at this show. Through a series of good luck occurrences, I got a great seat and was able to witness his chops up close, at singing, guitar-playing, and harmonica-blowing. Run, don’t walk, to this show if he comes to your town.
Black Alley is one of my favorite bands. Known for pushing the art of music to its rhythmic limits. Their genre-bending sound combines hip hop, rock and go-go. Lead vocalist Kacey Williams voice is powerful and electrifying! Her stage presence is exceptional as well as her ability to entertain with one of the most incredible group of musicians who provides a musical accompaniment to each other. Their chemistry is the light that will take you down that Black Alley with no fear when that beat drop!
AMAZING show! I didn't know what to expect with the collaboration with the NSO (Nationial Symphony Orchestra) but they song choices really worked! The ones they did with the orchestra made for a beautiful, full sound! Have to admit though , it was nice when they did their solo acoustic set too.❤️. Bottom line GREAT show and SO glad we went!!!!
This was my first time at Wolf Trap, a beautiful place. The Show was amazing. I had a great time. The atmosphere was a beautiful thing. The performers were outstanding. Boney James was a perfectionist on stage and he played his heart out. This was the first time I attended a concert by him and it won't be my last. The live performance by him was so great and it sounded amazing! Although the weather was hot and humid they were all so cool. The band was excellent as well. The crowd were very dedicated people. I enjoyed myself!
Carolyn Miller
They owe me NOTHING! This my first time hearing Boney and I fell in love. Ms Hathaway was amazing. I came for Damien Escobar. We was on the lawn and I preferred that over seats. It was more intimate and relaxing. The venue was a nice walk depending on where you parked but they move at a great pace.
I'm a huge Charlie Wilson fan so it's cray this was my first time seeing him in person. It was a great production. I loved, loved, loved it all. This man is amazingly humble, talented, and fun. More Charlie Wilson at Wolf Trap please! I need to get closer to the stage next time so I can see this great man up close/ Thanks for a wonderful show. Babyface was great as well. Bravo to all on stage!
First time seeing the Steve Miller band. I knew that had a couple of smash hits, but didn’t realize how many great songs there were. After a couple hits I knew in a row, I figured it would be a bunch of songs I wasn’t familiar with them The Joker, but to my surprise it was just hit after hit!
Will definitely go next show that’s in my neighborhood.
My first time seeing Steve Miller and his current touring band found me wishing I'd seen him multiple times over the last four decades.
Giving a sold out crowd at Wolf Trap National Park (the perfect setting, with really amazing acoustics) a flawless show, Mr. Miller didn't show one sign of his age (79!?!).
His band was tight and stayed with him all night, the light show and set were understated, the perfect backdrop to one of the best concerts I've ever seen (there have been many). Kudos to the lighting and sound engineers, his road crew, and the supporters of this amazing venue for crafting such a stellar show.
If money were no object, I would hit as many stops as possible on the remainder of his tour.
Kenny Loggins was fabulous! His song list was wonderful and really, really enjoyed him telling the crowd about the background of the songs. His band was great! Kenny will be forever remembered as an outstanding singer, song writer and performer! After all the years of his career he will be truly missed by all.
The venue of the Filene Center at Wolf Trap was awesome! It is a wonderful amphitheater with all great seating, beautiful construction and the acoustics.
Absolutely loved the concert!
The Filene Center is just beautiful! The night couldn’t have been more perfect. Our seats were amazing as was Kenny! Love him! He is my favorite artist of all time. I could listen to him for hours. He did not disappoint! The show was fantastic! Kenny I will miss you and your live performances.
The Yacht Rock Review were very good as well. It was the first one seeing them! Nicely done.
Boy George was incredible! His energy and positive, loving attitude was magnetizing. He took the time to speak to the audience and showed he really cares about his fans. So glad I finally got to see Culture Club after 40 years of being a huge fan. I was definitely not disappointed. Would def see them again. English Beat opened up for Culture Club. They played a few classics that the crowd really enjoyed. Everyone was up and dancing. Great night!
It was a FANTASTIC Show. He played the New stuff, old stuff, covers. It was a Great mix. Loved it. We got to hear a little bit of Everything with some witty banter mixed in. A Truly GREAT Show. Boy George always Delivers & Never disappoints :) :) iI also don't want to forget to mention that they played at The BEST outdoor Venue in the DMV. Wolf Trap ROCKS
The legendary Junk Yard Band is my number one GoGo band. Endowed with energetic dance moves and the ability to move any crowd, JYB is an intelligent group of multi-instrumentalists who plays at a professional level of proficiency. With his euphonious voice, Buggs is one of the most authentic lead vocals in the GoGo music industry. His leadership and perseverance over the years are testaments of the bands longevity. My Sisters and I energetically enjoyed ourselves. JYB 4Life! 💕Peaches💕
Great, joyous show last night by Mark Knopfler (and excellent 10 piece band) at Wolf Trap. Two plus hours of both Dire Straits (DS) and his solo (S) work. My personal highlights were “Once Upon A Time in the West”, “Romeo & Juliet”, “Money for Nothing” (DS) and “Sailing to Philadelphia”, latin themed “From Paraguay” and blistering “Speedway At Nazareth” and “Matchstick Man” from his latest “Down the Road Wherever” album (S).
Sheryl was in fine form and sang really well last night at Wolf Trap! 😊 My friend Ariel and I had a fun time and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. Ariel’s first SC concert was a fun time and she said she’d do it again with me. Sheryl and band
rocked the house again! 😀🎤🎧🧡
They were ok. Derek trucks is amazing. Probably Susan as well, although she only played one song at the end But they are just not my taste in music. Too blah. I want more blues, more soul, more rock, more something, anything. It was too much rambling Jam along music. Great for greatful dead fans though. Maybe that's why they are so popular? I am not sure? To each, his own.
