Ms. Niki's Music Class

This Latin American Youth Center-DC Workshop Series features Uncle Devin & Friends with Ms. Niki's Music Class Musical Theater - "The Wiz"! Children, ages 10-11, will be exposed to singing a varied repertoire of music including Broadway show tunes while using proper vocal technique, acting, and dancing out scenes from the musical "The Wiz." This program enhances literacy and reading comprehension as students recite lines from scripts, develop characters, and perform in a musical culmination showcase performance for family and friends. Ms. Niki's Music Class is where joy meets learning! Music edutainer, Ms. Niki provides a colorful adventure through upbeat original songs and classics with a twist you've never heard before. She’s a classically trained singer, songwriter, author, and thespian. Along with Uncle Devin, Ms. Niki is also a member of the GRAMMY-nominated 1 Tribe Collective's All One Tribe album featuring "Rainbow" in 2022 for Best Children's Music Album. Nicole “Ms. Niki” Addison is a classically trained singer/songwriter from Washington, D.C. One of family music's most compelling and talented new emerging artists, Ms. Niki is a member of the GRAMMY-nominated 1 Tribe Collective's All One Tribe album featuring "Rainbow." Described as "a new age cross between Mary Poppins and Ms. Frizzle" Ms. Niki is sure to please audiences of all ages. The Uncle Devin Show® is an interactive musical multi-media and arts-integrated experience for children by renowned drummer, Devin Walker. The entire family will experience the rhythm of Uncle Devin’s infectious blend of Jazz, Funk, and DC’s official music, Go-Go. The show cultivates the minds of children through percussion instruments and is a dynamic cross between DC’s Trouble Funk and Schoolhouse Rock.
