QUALIFIED PURCHASERS

Individuals eligible to purchase from the Qualifying Location including teachers, staff, students and parents as follows (each a “Qualified Purchaser”):

Employees of any education institution - Any employee of a public or private education institution in Malaysia is eligible.

Tertiary education students - Students attending or accepted into a tertiary education institution in Malaysia are eligible to purchase.

Parents of tertiary education students - Parents purchasing on behalf of their child who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private tertiary education institution in Malaysia are eligible to purchase.

Purchases from the Apple Store for Education Individuals are not for institutional purchase or resale.

VALIDATION OF PURCHASE QUALIFICATIONS:

When a Qualified Purchaser purchases an Eligible Product at an Apple Store, our retail employees may ask the customer to show them (1) a copy of the relevant Student/Faculty/Staff ID or an official letter of student admission issued by a higher education institute in the Qualifying Country (collectively the “Qualification Proof”); and (2) the relevant government-issued photo identification card or passport for non-residents (“ID Document”). Our retail employees at the Apple Store will conduct a visual check of the Qualification Proof and ID Document in order to verify that the information matches and the customer is a Qualified Purchaser entitled to the Promotion Savings. No copy is taken by Apple of the Qualification Proof or the ID Document.

The customer can choose not to provide their Qualification Proof or ID Document, but this may result in Apple not being able to provide the Promotion Savings to the customer. In such a case, the customer can choose to continue to purchase the relevant product without the Promotion Savings at the Apple Store, or make a purchase via the Apple Online Store, where a different verification process independently operated by a third party is available.

If a parent of a student at a tertiary education institute purchase any Eligible Products and seek to utilise the Promotion Savings, the recipient and end user of that Eligible Product must be their child, who is a student currently attending or accepted into a tertiary education institute in the Qualifying Country. The parent must present the relevant Qualification Proof and ID Document of the student to the Apple Store employee, and the student's information must match. Otherwise, Apple may refuse to provide the Promotion Savings.

When a Qualified Purchaser chooses to purchase an Eligible Product through the Apple Online Store, they may be asked to go through a verification process to ensure that they are a Qualified Purchaser and entitled to the Promotion Savings. Such verification process is independently operated by a third party in accordance with their own privacy policy and terms.

When a Qualified Purchaser chooses to purchase an Eligible Product by calling 1800-80-6419, Apple may ask the customer by separate email to provide a copy of the relevant Student/Faculty/Staff ID or an official letter of student admission issued by a higher education institute in the Qualifying Country (collectively the “Qualification Proof”). Such information will only be used to validate that the customer is a Qualified Purchaser entitled to the Promotion Savings, and copies of the Qualification Proof and will be deleted once it’s no longer necessary to retain it. Shipment of the products may be delayed if Apple does not receive the Qualification Proof in time or if Apple needs additional time to verify that the customer is eligible for the Promotion Savings. The customer does not have to provide the Qualification Proof, but this may result in the cancellation of the order. In that case, the customer can choose to make the purchase using the different validation process offered at our Apple Store or can continue to purchase the relevant products without applying the Promotion Savings.

PENGESAHAN KELAYAKAN PEMBELIAN:

Apabila Pembeli Layak membeli Produk Layak di Apple Store, pekerja runcit kami mungkin akan meminta pelanggan menunjukkan (1) salinan ID Pelajar/Fakulti/Kakitangan yang berkenaan atau surat rasmi kemasukan pelajar yang dikeluarkan oleh institut pengajian tinggi di Negara Layak (secara kolektif “Bukti Kelayakan”); dan (2) kad pengenalan bergambar yang dikeluarkan oleh kerajaan atau pasport untuk bukan pemastautin (“Dokumen ID”). Kakitangan runcit kami di Apple Store akan melakukan pemeriksaan visual terhadap Bukti Kelayakan dan Dokumen ID untuk mengesahkan bahawa maklumat tersebut adalah sepadan dan pelanggan tersebut merupakan Pembeli Layak yang berhak mendapat Penjimatan Promosi. Tiada salinan akan dibuat oleh Apple bagi Bukti Kelayakan atau Dokumen ID.

Pelanggan boleh memilih untuk tidak memberikan Bukti Kelayakan atau Dokumen ID mereka, tetapi ini mungkin mengakibatkan Apple tidak dapat memberikan Penjimatan Promosi kepada pelanggan. Dalam keadaan sedemikian, pelanggan boleh memilih untuk terus membeli produk yang berkenaan tanpa Penjimatan Promosi di Apple Store, atau membuat pembelian melalui Kedai Dalam Talian Apple, yang mempunyai proses pengesahan berbeza yang dikendalikan secara bebas oleh pihak ketiga.

Jika ibu bapa pelajar di institut pengajian tinggi membeli mana-mana Produk Layak dan ingin menggunakan Penjimatan Promosi, penerima dan pengguna akhir bagi Produk Layak itu mestilah merupakan anak mereka, iaitu pelajar yang sedang menghadiri atau diterima masuk ke institut pengajian tinggi di Negara Layak. Ibu bapa perlu mengemukakan Bukti Kelayakan dan Dokumen ID pelajar yang berkenaan kepada pekerja Apple Store dan maklumat pelajar haruslah sepadan. Jika tidak, Apple boleh memilih untuk tidak memberikan Penjimatan Promosi.

Apabila Pembeli Layak memilih untuk membeli Produk Layak melalui Kedai Dalam Talian Apple, mereka mungkin diminta untuk melalui proses pengesahan untuk memastikan bahawa mereka adalah Pembeli yang Layak dan berhak mendapat Promosi Penjimatan. Proses pengesahan tersebut dikendalikan secara bebas oleh pihak ketiga menurut dasar dan terma privasi mereka sendiri. 

Apabila Pembeli Layak memilih untuk membeli Produk Layak dengan menghubungi 1800-80-6419, Apple boleh meminta pelanggan melalui e-mel berasingan supaya memberikan salinan ID Pelajar/Fakulti/Kakitangan yang berkenaan atau surat rasmi kemasukan pelajar yang dikeluarkan oleh institut pengajian tinggi di Negara yang Layak (secara kolektif “Bukti Kelayakan”). Maklumat tersebut hanya akan digunakan untuk mengesahkan bahawa pelanggan ialah Pembeli Layak yang berhak mendapat Penjimatan Promosi dan salinan Bukti Kelayakan akan dipadam apabila ia tidak lagi diperlukan untuk disimpan. Penghantaran produk mungkin tertunda jika Apple tidak menerima Bukti Kelayakan tepat pada masanya atau jika Apple memerlukan masa tambahan untuk mengesahkan bahawa pelanggan layak menerima Penjimatan Promosi. Pelanggan tidak perlu memberikan Bukti Kelayakan, tetapi ini mungkin mengakibatkan pembatalan pesanan. Dalam keadaan itu, pelanggan boleh memilih untuk membuat pembelian menggunakan proses pengesahan berbeza yang ditawarkan di Apple Store kami atau boleh terus membeli produk yang berkenaan tanpa menggunakan Penjimatan Promosi.
