Yes this book met my expectations.
I bought the book for my 8 year old son who's interested in reading about science and history, so based on the cover and description it looked interesting and easy to read for him, and it was.

This is a marvelous book that we'll be reading throughout my daughter's early grade school experience. The factoids, summaries, and histories in a single page for each scientist give readers plenty to think about. My one disappointment is that there could have been so many more women scientists in this book. I'd love to see an updated version after the authors read Headstrong: 52 Women Who Changed Science and the World http://www.amazon.com/Headstrong-Women-Changed-Science-World/dp/0553446797

My granddaughter loved this book. Favorite superstar: Marie Curie

While it was advertised as "very good" condition, I would rate it as "good": the cover had stains and did not look fresh. Moreover there was a sticker "special value $3" while I paid $5.26 (retails new for $8), not a big deal, I still like the book.

This is good for kids who feel queasy when they hear the word “science.” This book adopts every measure to make kids get familiarized with science. It is fun for adults to read it, too.
