I got tired of reading ebooks from the library on my phone. Using a Kindle makes it much easier to read. I can move library books over. I found using it was a bit of trial and error, but once I got the hang of it, I'm still a fan. The battery life is super long, and I like not having to charge it often. Amazon's Kindle is better than Apple, Android, Television and Movies. If you know how to read, you should buy one, and you will get one of Amazon's greatest values. It's a treasure, and your library is totally backed up, so if you lose it, you can buy another one, and every book is still there. You can also read the books for free on the Amazon Kindle App, and they have a browser reader for free, but this back lit model is great. I love the color of the light, and screen. The control you have over the font styles, and size of text are brilliant. It enables you to read faster, more, and this fits in my front jeans pocket very easily, so it is always with me. I take it everywhere. It's an essential item. I've been enjoying Amazon Kindle for over 13 years, but I must say, this model is a strong improvement over previous models. Definitely buy it.

So, this really is a fantastic device. Both of our teens have one now, and its the only device they are allowed to have 24 - 7. We have a family kindle unlimited that we all use.
BUT the peice hikes are crazy. We bought one for our son for $40 two years ago. Had to pay $120 for my daughter's a month ago!!!

This is probably the most basic kindle I have owned and it is 1 of 4 I have owned. I do love the battery life of this one compared to some of the older ones. There are features that the Oasis has that I wish this one had, unfortunately my oasis was damaged and I couldn’t afford to replace it with a new oasis. For the cost though, this one is great. The size is perfect for traveling.
