I am starting to think Amazon monitors my shopping history. I recently got a old projector for like $100 off eBay and decided to set up a home theater. After I got everything set up, I was wondering how much a gaming projector would cost me. A week later this projector shows up in my feed. Yes, thank you, of course I'll take it.I'll say this much, Epson didn't change much, I suppose that's partially because they don't really need to change all that much. This is good and bad.Picture quality is great. In the above pictures, the lit room is playing American Dad off my Roku box. In the dark room, I am playing Kakarot on my PS4. Is it 4K? No, but I wouldn't expect it to be 4K in the current price range.Audio syncs up just fine. I haven't had any problems with any noticeable input lag while playing video games, which is a huge plus considering they advertise this for office work and I am using it for a home theater. The projector weighs about the same as my old one, which is really surprising. It's roughly around the same size as well. Considering how old my projector is, I am really surprised at this. It isn't heavy, but let's just say you need to make sure if it's on a shelf or hanging that it's going to be SECURE.I really wish there had been a button on the controller that just automatically flipped the screen, because trying to do it upside down is a pain in the arse and of course the setting is kind of buried in the menu too.Speaker is pretty standard, but that's to be expected. Does an okay job.Fans are actually louder than my old one. They are fairly noticeable. This projector tends to get warm and then later hot just as quickly as my old one too. Just as hot as my old one as well. I am really surprised they haven't been able to do a better job with the cooling.I don't know why they did this, but on the bottom of most projectors are anchor points in case you wanted to hang this thing from the ceiling. Most projectors I saw have the anchor points in three spots, in opposite directions from one another, this one, two are like that and the third is just ploped right in the middle where the main ceiling anchor is, so I can't use it. Seems like a weird design decision. For the most part this is a huge upgrade for me, I think for the price entry this is a very good projector and if you wanted to use it for home theater or gaming, like I do, then I think it's a nice middle entry point.

Currently I have a firestick attached and mounted on the ceiling in a 15x20 foot room. Adjusted size and projecting right on the wall. After pool is installed, will bring out back to float and watch movies.

Color: WhiteVine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
This projector is VERY powerful and, given the price, it should be. The nice thing about this is that this bulb is very strong so even during the day you can still see the projector screen. This is a big projector so be aware of that if you are limited on space. You may want to do some measurements before getting this projector. This projector provides a pretty clear picture while giving you multiple media options. Compared to many of the big projectors, this one is by far one the best projectors to get if you are going to use it daily and want to use it outside as well. Many projects I have seen do not work well outside but this one does. This one does only have one HDMI port (and old vga port) but you could get around that if you happen to have an HDMI switch. There is also USB ports for power for your chromecast. I honestly use it more for powering the chromecast as I like casting onto the projector, but it is nice to have if you are trying to show a slide show or something. It does not work with a fire stick unfortunately as it requires more power than what the USB can provide. The video quality does seem pretty close to 1080p from what I can tell. I have tried game on it too and it works pretty well for most games I have tried. I have been using it to game on my PS3. It also has a component adapter if you want to plug in older devices. It is good to have but honestly I would probably never use it. I did test it with a DVD player I had and it works well. I think for the best results you should use an overhead screen but I have a full white wall which is what I use. From what I can tell any white wall works pretty well with this projector although you may not like the detail of the pictures as much. Also for the best results I really can only use this device at night or in a dark room. One thing I will say is that this overhead actually generated less noise than many others. It does generates a good amount of heat but nothing that is dangerous levels. There are vents so make sure that is not covered as you may actually burn the device out. You can use RCA cable to connect to a speaker or older devices to this projector. There is also an on board speakers which is nice. You get okay sound out of them. The built in speakers are also nice to have as you do not have to carry portable speakers with you. With the plug in, you can still control the sound through the projector. I normally just preset in my speakers so I do not blow the speakers. It is automatically connect and default so you do not have to change the setting. The sound quality of the built in speakers are going to be limited due to the compact size. It works well if you are sitting like four to five feet away. The outer design looks really nice with the video outputs in the back and more sound on the right side. It is really light and could be easily placed in your bag to take on the go. There is no lens cover for your lens so I recommend having a microfiber cloth on hand just to wipe it down whenever you need it. I do not know exactly how long each bulb will last but I only use it at night really for movie length. There is a sleep mode so it will turn off on its own if I happen to fall asleep with this one. The bottoms are great and prevent the projector from sliding. It does require a small brick power plug so be aware of that when finding an outlet. Overall I would say this device is a great thing to have. The projector is limited to just HDMI and for some reason VGA (old school tech).
