We purchased a 65in LG OLED TV in Nov 2021 and got the 3yr Asurion warranty as an additional item. The TV (not even 2yrs old) started randomly turning off about 3 months ago and progressively got worse. The standard manf/LG warranty expired after 12 months. I went through the Asurion repair process and was ultimately advised the TV could NOT be fixed and I would be receiving a FULL REFUND of the purchase price via mailed check that I actually received earlier than promised. Had we not purchased the Asurion warranty we would be stuck with a useless, expensive LG TV not even 2 years old and $1,650 out-of-pocket!!! We could not be more pleased with Asurion and how they made an awful situation so much better. Do NOT talk yourself out of buying the Asurion warranty for expensive tech products, it's worth literally 12X the price if you need it like we did. Very happy with Asurion and highly recommend!!!
Last year, I shopped the "Black Friday" specials on Amazon. I was looking for a new Television. When I added a $1,700 television to my cart, I was offered Assurion Product Protection. Assuming that the Product Protection was also an amazing Black Friday Deal, I added it to my cart as well. The offer noted:

I would have been stupid NOT to purchase the protection. Unfortunately after having damage to the TV screen, I find out that, according to Assurion Customer Service, the accidental damage protection is for LAPTOPS and not for Televisions. Even though though the protection was purchased for a TELEVISION!!!
Do not buy this protection. When you call for issues with products, everything was done to make sure that I do not get my TV fixed, do not buy this scam
