This is a great little gadget from Switchbot. It is easy to install, and instantly detects a closed or open door. This works perfectly within the switchbot app and was very quickly recognized and set up.
I installed this on my front door at the top, and it was incredibly easy. Just peel off the 3M tape, and stick it. and then it's installed. now i can use the contact sensor within the Alexa app using a routine to tie it into other home automation programs!
Using this, it's pretty easy to program your lights/gadgets within your house to detect when you leave/enter your home and automatically greet you or turn your lights on!
I can't wait to see the next set of Switchbot products!
