I've been using the CNBC app for the Fire TV stick since July 2018. It allows me to watch CNBC in a room where I don't have cable and saves me the cost of another cable box. At first, the app would crash, without any apparent reason, once or twice a day. It was irritating, but I now realize those were the good old days. The performance of the app has steadily deteriorated since I've been using it. Lately, it has been crashing 20-40 times a day and sometimes crashes just a few minutes (or even a few seconds) after being restarted. The only explanation I get is Error Code:0037. I've reported the problem to CNBC Customer Care dozens of times, but they haven't fixed the problem. They won't even tell me what Error Code:0037 means.

Someone at Amazon need to tell CNBC that the performance of their app in not acceptable and that they need to rewrite the app. (Perhaps Amazon could even lend them a developer to rewrite it!)

I don't have this problem with any other app on the Fire TV stick, so I don't think the problem is with the stick or with my internet service. (I've also read enough reviews by users with similar problems to know the problem isn't on my end.)

This is the worst app I use on any device. Amazon needs to force CNBC to fix it.

When I lost access to CNBC for nearly a week with a cable company snafu I was able to watch my shows live using this app on my fire TV Cube (original). I was able to catch show’s I’d missed on-demand through the app (like Jay Leno’s Garage!) too. It was kind of a lifesaver for me as I often have CNBC on in the background as I work from home. That makes me like this app a lot.

I have cable TV and I’ve not “cut the cord”. CNBC is included in my cable package. The current version of the app REQUIRES sign-in with an active cable subscription that includes CNBC. That will probably upset cord cutters a lot.

This app does put ads into the live stream and they seem to match the amount as watching live on cable. I did not use the on-demand options much but I didn’t feel the viewing previously aired shows made me watch more ad time.

Navigation and usability on FireTV is excellent and well done. I found the app to be polished and reliable. Streaming quality has been excellent, as good as the same shows delivered through my cable video signal.

While not a problem for me I feel I can’t give this app 5 stars because of the cable TV login required. But since this review is about my experience with it I am giving it 4 stars. It met all my needs.

I'm trekkie. I got this mainly to see the Star Trek:Discovery series. Oh my! They've got so much More! I could Bingewatch for weeks! A real value. 2 price levels. If you can tolerate commercials, it's cheaper, and the commercials are not many. Quite a price jump to go to the non - commercial status. But either way, it's all good!

The organization tree is confusing, complicated and does not represent what the customer wants to see first. No way to have a fixed access group of your choice that is always very easy to access. Free access apps are not readily appearent, untill you dig down in the app and waste time. NO access to local channels with out being signed up to major TV service. What you are left with is a screen for your use. Needs Lots of Work to be customer frendly and ready. Good luck Fire TV, alot of nothing.

If you are a cord cutter, this app keeps you up to date on the latest news. If I to change anything it would be having the next story automatically start. Currently you select the next story by headline. I can see where this would be convenient for most to just hear the news they want but I often listen to the news as I do other things.
