I absolutely LOVE LOVE this serum. I've tried many many MANY haircare products over the years and have even worked in haircare with some of the stylists to the stars. Many of these products do not have a focus on clean ingredients. Many glide over your hair leaving it greasy and dry because of the types of ingredients that do not have a hydrating or absorbing focus. Many do not have a female founder that I want more and more of my pocketbook $$$ funds to go to. Masami leaves my strands smooth, soft and helps to tame by very curly locks when I want that look or helps to lock in place my strands when I want to wear my hear straight. Plus I love the easy to wear scent. I get compliments all the time. A win win!

This product made my straightened hair so smooth and shiny! And it smells lovely.

As with another Masami product I’ve tried, I didn’t find this product particularly effective against frizz, however.

I have long, naturally curly, course, color-treated hair. In its natural state, it’s a pile of frizz. So on days when I want to take the time to straighten it, I need to make sure it doesn’t revert to its natural state. I tested this product on two separate straightened days.

The first time, I took a chance and used it as my only “frizz management” product. I applied it once my hair had dried naturally, then straightened it with a straightening iron. The result was lovely, smooth, shiny hair that didn’t feel dry at the ends at all. So that was great. But then I went outside in the humidity. When I came back in, my hair was still mostly straight, but it was definitely frizzed up pretty good. So, this product did not do so well as a sole frizz preventer.

The second time, I wasn’t taking any chances. I applied this product as before, to hair that had dried naturally after washing, then straightened with a straightening iron. Then I coated my hair in my proven humidity protectant hair spray. Under the same conditions, this time, my hair looked much, much better after being outside in the humidity. Still shiny, smooth and straight, and with far less frizz than the first time.

The verdict: This product is a great choice as a shine serum, offers heat protection while styling, and gave me shiny, smooth hair that smelled wonderful. Just don’t depend on it as the only product you use to keep the frizz away.

This is so much more then a shine serum, it helps frizz, brittle dry split ends and smooths to perfection. A little goes a long way with their products. I also love their shampoo and conditioner. Salon quality and free from toxic chemicals. I was a hair dresser and worked in the industry and know my products :) Love love love it!

I have very long hair and it is fine. A lot of products that add shine create more weight than my hair can sustain. This product works perfectly for me. One pump adds root to tip shine for me without looking greasy or limp. It feels like I just came out of a salon.

The scent is not easy to describe but is very appealing. It makes my hair smell great all day. Adding product to fine hair is often problematic and I avoid a lot of leave ins. This is an exceptional value added for me.

I have long, fine, straight hair that is prone to dullness. I've tried shine serums in the past that have made my hair look shiny... but in a greasy sort of way. Not exactly the look I was going for. This product is different! Only a few drops makes my hair look and feel smooth and very shiny! It really doesn't take more than a few drops, so this bottle should last quite some time! My only complaint is that my hair is a bit thin and this makes it so smooth that any body I had just vanishes, so if you need extra volume or body, this might not be for you. If you have thick hair and want a boost in smoothness and shine, absolutely give this product a try!

We're having horribly hot & humid weather, with humidity at 100% RH. My hair was looking like Alice's from the Dilbert comic strip. It only takes 5 small drops in my palm and this tames my hair to being manageable, without weighing it down.
