It's fun to watch the story of the game as it follows the movies. It's several movie story-lines in one. There are many characters you can unlock in story mode and also free play mode with the Lego money you can collect. There are several story missions to complete. Lego Marvel Avengers has lots of new characters to unlock with several new features. There are several places you can go for side missions. This game has hours upon hours of game-play. Highly recommend.

I have played every Lego video game that has come out and this is easily in the top 3, if not the best! There is a wide variety of characters and so much to do that it will take you weeks to finish this game 100% even if you play for hours a day! I bought this game without ever seeing any Avengers related movie and was worried that I would be a little lost. This wasn't an issue at all and in fact I saw the Avengers movie after playing this game and was impressed how close the storyline was followed. This is a game for all ages and a must have!

The game overall is very good. However, it at times feels like it was rushed in production. The Boss fights are terrible in coop mode. They force one player to be useless to wait until the fight is over. The freeplay is good though, and the flying missions are smooth. Overall the game is not as good as Lego Marvel Superheroes.

It doesn't just play through the avengers movies but also has playable levels from other marvel movies as well.
