Excellent test strips - for diabetic dogs too!
I use these test strips along with the Easy Touch meter for my diabetic dog. I tested them alongside the more expensive Alphatrak for a month and received near identical readings. My girl has Cushings disease and her glucose has been difficult to regulate so I'm usually testing 6-10 times per day (with a painless lancing device she feels nothing!). With the Alphatrak I was spending over $200/ month on test strips alone. The Easy Touch strips are only about $10/ box and with the savings I have more money to buy my dog things she actually wants instead of boring diabetes supplies. The strips are easy to fill & only require a small amount of blood. I am so glad I found these and recommend them for diabetics - human & dog alike.Update: Pixie is 6 months into her diabetes diagnosis and I still use the Easy Touch about 90% of the time. I test her with the Alphatrak ocassionally just to be 100% certain they are in the same range. I have never seen more than a 10% variance. Her vet was curious how it would compare to their blood test and it was only about 5 points different.I have purchased several other "pet" glucometers and I am not impressed with how wildly the readings vary (with the same blood sample!) and how expensive the test strips are.
