I've been wanting a laser printer forever, and I'm happy I got this one. I was switching from HP because I am sick of their pay-to-print forced subscription model. This one allows any cartridges, prints great, and is a great size for my small home office. So far, connectivity has been stable and consistent.
Setting it up on my MacBook Pro was relatively easy, but printing from my Pixel phone was more difficult. I fought with the Cannon app for far too long before I read an online tip to use the Mopria app. It worked beautifully the first time. So, if you are having difficulty with remote printing, try Mopria (not a paid advertisement, just your average user who wants to print from my phone :-).

Canon has the BEST LIVE customer service!!
I was surprised by not having a SCAN function; however, smart phones have a SCAN App, so no problems at all. Also, I called Canon Customer Service last night since I was having some problems printing after changing our Internet provider. The Tech spent over an hour on the phone to help me step by step for our Printer, Macbook Air and iphone to work properly. I was so impressed by his kind patient assistant. Canon is the BEST!!

Pros: Print Quality is very good.
Cons: Connecting to Wireless is insanely bad. The Printer checks for "Genuine Products" meaning you'll spend 3x for replacements. You can't connect to your printer wirelessly unless you put in a password, manager pin, and manager ID. Something you will regret if you setup and lose. I forgot my pin and when I called at 10pm EST, Canon support was CLOSED!! Absolutely HORRIBLE printer for the money. Look at the interface at the top of the printer. It looks like an old TI85 calculator! The Letter feeder is at the front and you have to load envelopes one at a time and not just envelopes but any non-standard paper sizes. When you open the toner trays, it litterally tells you that they are "starter cartridges". Do they all do this? Most do but these are especially "light"
Overall: SAD interface, SAD way to force users to use their products. Other than an average print quality for a color laserPrinter (almost all print very well but much better than inkjets IMHO), this should be avoided.
