    ***UPDATE - Reduced rating from 5 to 4 stars, though I would have liked a 3.5 star option.After less than 2 months, I dropped my phone and the screen shattered. I didn't have protective glass on it because I couldn't find an option for screen protectors that rated higher than 2.5 stars. I liked the phone very much at first, but began to realize that it had its glitches, such as randomly deciding not to download updates or new apps. I had to do a factor reset twice (in less than two months). After the most recent system update, that issue seemed to work itself out. I also discovered that because Asus is not a hot commodity, finding quality accessories was a PITA. (Thus why I had no screen protection on it). I pains me to say that it will likely either cost me $100 for a new screen on a $150 phone, or I will need to replace the phone. I'm thinking I'm going to replace, but not with the same phone. Will probably upgrade a bit to a Motorola G6 which has plenty of high rated accessories.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Bought to replace my LG G3, which had begun crashing repeatedly at the most inopportune moments. I refused to buy another phone through contract and was unwilling to pay much more than $150. My priorities were simply to have phone, text, a navigation system that didn't crash, and a nice camera. So far, this little ZenFone fits the bill perfectly, and in a beautiful simple package. It's only been a few days, but so far, I am very happy. :)

    I love this phone, so far it is been wonderful. The last phone that I had was a Chinese phone. I thought it was all right until I got this phone. The user interface on this phone is so much better than the Meizu Note 1. I had no idea what I was missing. The phones even have similar specs, but this one is soooo much better. The fingerprint sensor works wonderfully. It is so accurate that even my twin sister couldn't unlock it with her finger no matter how many times we tried. It does not come bogged down with a lot of useless apps, and the user interface has a program that lets you manage the programs and apps that are running so that your phone doesn't slow down. I got this phone because I bought the Asus zenwatch 3. They work very well together the phone itself is is very good quality. It is actually lighter and slimmer then my old meizu. But somehow feels like it has a better quality. It is running the latest version of Android right now (marshmallow) I am interested to see if they update it when the next version comes out. The camera is nice about the same quality as my old phone. However the photo software is really nice and fun to play with. It also came with free cloud storage for pictures or whatever. The 3gb /32 gb is more then enough. All the apps run smooth, and I have plenty of space. And if you think you need more, you can use the second sim card spot for a micro SD card and increase the storage space. All on all I am very impressed with Asus. This phone and the ZenWatch were my first Asus purchases. I am now a loyal customer. If anything goes wrong I will update this review. So if there is no update then you my assume I am blissfully enjoying my new phone.

The phone does not over heat like previous ones I have owned. It is upgradeable to android 7.0. I came from Sony Xperia Z3 plus to this phone, pretty much same specs and quality. As I previously wrote, this is a great phone for the price.

    The phone still works how it should. Updated to Oreo this week. Even bought my wife one 5 months ago she also loves the phone. Would buy it again. It a great budget phone.

    This is a great phone it feels very premium with the metal body and curved glass on the front and on the back. The finger print scanner is as fast as the iPhone's, and it can be used for payments like on the Google play store. The camera has many great features like time lapse, slow motion (60fps), super resolution, panorama, and 16 others. What is really great is the manual mode which can allow you to have a "photographer's experience" where you can control iso, shutter speed, white balance, exposure value, and the focal length. I also enjoy 4k video recording and laser auto focusing. The screen is very vibrant and gets up to 600 nits of brightness which does well outside. Also if you have issues with phone's color temperature or saturation there is a great tool called Splendid which comes preinstalled where you can customize your screen.

    My issues are that the glass is fairly fragile. I would definitely recommend buying a case for it and definitely a screen protector. Also if you have used an apple phone, you may know that many apps just don't work as well on Android devices. This isn't an issue with this phone, Samsung has some issues with certain apps also.
    Overall, I would definitely recommend this device.

    I love how well this phone holds on to a signal whenever I am in a call. Once I get connected to a call, I seem to be locked onto it. So far, zero dropped calls. Call clarity is better than my old iPhone 6s. Texting, using the phone's messaging app, is simple but functional though a tad boring. Battery life is very good and can last the whole day from 100% charge at 7AM with heavy wifi and data use, streaming videos, phone calls (2-3 hours total) and heavy texting and Ill still have around 55%-63% battery by 9PM. Camera is just ok and nothing special though the manual mode is fun to use! The ASUS ZenUi is actually pretty interesting and the so-called "bloatware" can easily be disabled or uninstalled. What I am nervous about is the glass on the back of the phone which is cool to look at but in my opinion, an unnecessary embellishment. Overall a solid phone if you're after speed, stability, and signal.

I try to keep a shock-absorbing case on it at all times. Asus is a wonderful computer brand, and I did a lot of research back in 2016 before ordering a new phone. I'm so glad I went with this one. There's a website called "phone arena" that lets you compare specs of different phones. Go ahead, compare it to your current phone. I guarantee it'll make you want to purchase the Asus ZenFone 3.

The clunky, undeletable custom software also underscores Asus' clear inadequacies in the mobile phone market. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a product to meet your cell phone needs.     Great phone had it for half a year. It is equal to a Samsung galaxy 8. Soooooooo many features that make it great. The camera is really good but the camera software is one of the best. Its really fast and the battery lasts 2 days on regular use. One time I went on a trip and took 500 pictures and videos and it only lasted three-quarters of the day. Exceptional phone. It's really cheap for its quality and performance. I looked at phones before this and all of the equivalent were $400. there's lots of space on it and you can insert as big of an SD card as you want. Haven't had any problems with it yet. On the camera it has great filters and a ton of features like taking 4 pictures that are 16 megapixels and combining them into one 64 megapixel picture, and lots more. one thing but it doesn't say in the description is that it runs on Android 8. 0 and it keeps updating. When I first bought it it ran on 6. 2 then it keeps updating. if you want more information on the phone because the description and specs for it aren't very good go to asus. Com and look for the phone there. It also charges on USB C cable and the speaker is incredibly loud. When I bought it was only $240. If you want to buy accessories for it I suggest you buy it on Amazon because they're really difficult to find because this is the international version.
