    This is my review after using the Black FineWoven case by Apple for 4 months. When I first bought it, I did not like it so much, in fact, i hated it and went back to my leather cases. Then I gave it another try and see if it can hold itself again daily wear.First, it feels really nice on the hand and def. much different from leather, not worse, but different. 2nd, when my leather accessories get wet or damped for a long time, they start to show significant wear (not leather petina). But in this case (no pun intended), it's a much different story. When the case gets dirty, simply clean it with a soft brush and some soap, it will look as good as new! I can never do this to my leather cases.Overall, excellent case and I totally support the move from leather to FineWoven.

    It’s a great case. It feels good in your hand, feels premiums. However, it does scratch very easily. It also tends to fade quickly as well. I don’t know if this is because I typically baby my cases or not but that’s the only issue I can find.

    The ports and buttons are easily accessible. The case fits well, comes on and comes off easily. FANTASTIC color. As far as protection, I would say this provides light protection but definitely not in line with cases specially made to protect vs look good.

    I have always been a loyal fan of Apple’s leather cases for my iPhones. When I found out they discontinued them due to wanting to “reduce their carbon footprint” (at least, that’s my understanding), I was still willing to give this case a try. Boy… where do I start with how terrible this case is?

    The buttons rattle and don’t seem solid like the previous cases from Apple, and this material … this “Finewoven” material. Just, ugh. In contrast to the old leather cases that would age wonderfully with a fine patina, this material just acts like a trap for skin oil and after a while starts to look like the grease-stained bottom of a paper bag from your favorite burger joint (I got the Taupe color, so I’ll let you use your imagination). Maybe the other colors look better, but I honestly just hate the material and ended up getting a leather case from another company. So much for reducing carbon footprint when you put out a crap case that’s either going to be returned or end up in a landfill, forcing people to just go elsewhere for a quality leather iPhone case.
