$\begingroup$ I bet he could've. IIRC he was a bounty-hunter earlier in life, and did day-long rides back to back to back. Then read a full book by campfire. $\endgroup$

$\begingroup$ @jamesqf he went out to show that 25 miles isn't a long trip, that those youngsters shouldn't whine and complain about their training being too strenuous. And he did just that :)\ $\endgroup$
