Also along the leading edge of your western mountain range (cold high altitude air and precipitation leading to run off out onto the plains- at least seasonally) but the bulk the square could well be desert. One suggestion the Sahara for instance is not uniform in ts geology/geography so perhaps allow for sandy and stony deserts, rocky outcrops and plateaus etc. | |
