Dec 2, 2017 at 2:07 comment added WGroleau @ThorstenS., you have just described more than ten percent of the inhabitants of USA. To some, Obama is God, Trump is Satan, and Trump supporters are demons, albeit stupid ones. And for others, just swap the two names. On occasion, I’ve ventured to suggest that both are human beings, only to incur the wrath of someone for being “obviously” in the opposing camp.
Dec 1, 2017 at 22:44 comment added Thorsten S. @WGroleau What kind of society are you living in? Do you really fear that politely pointing out that something disturbs you create such a hassle? Do you already live in a splitted society consisting of Ctrl-Left und Alt-Right which are screaming at each other and telling their fanbase that the other party is unable to discuss or listen? Is everyone accused that if they don't stick 100% to the supposed party line that they are members of the enemy party? I admit, your comment disturbs me.

Dec 1, 2017 at 6:30 comment added WGroleau @ThorstenS., I never said folks should think like that, but the fact is, they do. You (each of us) has to decide for himself whether the conflict risk is worth it.
Dec 1, 2017 at 3:30 comment added Wildcard The flip side of this is that if you are in a minority group that has been denigrated and offensively targeted with hate propaganda by the newspaper in question, then you do have a leg to stand on about getting it removed—I would hope you agree.
Nov 30, 2017 at 16:31 comment added Thorsten S. @WGroleau This is one of the things which really, really bother me. The idea that THEY, whoever they are, could not be talked with, that THEY cannot accept other people and that you only should listen to OUR facts and opinions. Please google about Daryl Davis, a black pianist in Maryland. The idea that you should ignore, ridicule and suppress ideas and expressions you do not find acceptable instead confronting it with your opinion and arguments has worked so wonderful (careful: irony) in the USA and Europe: Trump is president and right-wing groups get more and more votes in Europe.
