    I lack the reputation to downvote, hence a comment: I feel that this answer fails to account for the actual contents of the DM as well as workplace culture in the UK. Then again, maybe I’m living in a filter bubble: but the answer is fundamentally untrue (on multiple points!) for any of my previous places of employment. Commented Nov 30, 2017 at 10:03
