    Hiya,

    Unfortunately I can’t get my translated po/mo files to work at all. I have put them under the /languages/ folder. I have tried different naming strategies including moove-gdpr-fi_FI, moove-gdpr-fi (Finnish language is usually just the fi and not fi_FI). Also gdpr-cookie-compliance-fi, gdpr-cookie-compliance-fi_FI etc.

    load_plugin_textdomain( ‘moove-gdpr’, false, basename( dirname( __FILE__ ) ) . ‘/languages’ );

    returns true and get_locale() returns ‘fi’. I also uncommented lines 31 and 32 in moove-gdpr.php so that the options would be reset on deactivation but it’s just refusing to use the file. Any idea what could be wrong?

    Thanks,
    Lisa

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your comments, translating the .po file, you can translate only the default strings and labels in the admin area. Each label and input is editable in the CMS, you can add the translated content to the inputs. The plugin supports WPML plugin to translate the texts inside the editors.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your patience on this. Please update the plugin to the latest version, and you can translate the admin scripts using a plugin like “Loco translate”.
    Alternatively, you can translate the plugin here:
    https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/gdpr-cookie-compliance

    I hope this works.
