I am sorry you have had an issue. This plugin has been in use for over 9 years and used on over 100,000 websites. Not once in that time has the plugin ever ‘deleted’ one image let alone ‘images’.
There is no way that i can help you with this – as you have not raised a support ticket or provided any details, like the WordPress version, the theme you are using, what testing you did to show it reduced your page speed. I mean if it deleted your images – how or why are you testing page speed.
I am sorry, I’d like to help you – but you have not made that possible.
