Add-on Gravity Forms – MailPoet 3

MailPoet is a free newsletter and post notification plugin for WordPress that makes it really simple to send out email newsletters to your subscription lists. This plugin integrates Gravity Forms with MailPoet by providing an option for your customers to signup for your newsletter lists while submitting a form.

Features

  • Allow your users to sign up for a Mailpoet newsletter list using a gravity form
  • You can capture first name, last name, and (of course) email
  • You can signup users to as many lists as you like
  • You can set up the form to opt in or opt out
  • Ability to add mailpoet custom field

How to integrate mailpoet custom field in gravity form

First edit any Mailpoet form and add a custom field

Now create/edit a gravity form and add an exact field
http://prntscr.com/nts0cw

Now hover on the “MailPoet custom field ID” tooltip and copy the ID. Paste that ID to the “MailPoet custom field ID” field
http://prntscr.com/nts26o

That’s it. Now gravity form field will be synchronized with MailPoet’s subscriber field.

Installation

  1. Install as a regular WordPress plugin
  2. Create a form with the appropriate fields via Gravity Forms
  3. Setup Mail Poet Newsletters with one or many lists
  4. Navigate to a form then select MailPoet under Settings and setup your feeds

I could not get this plugin to work. But, I had picked up Bit Integrations Pro and it had an integration that worked! It also took seconds and dumps everything from Gravity into Mail Poet. It didn’t work at first, but Bit Integrations Pro said to disable the Add on and then everything worked great! I got my copy at AppSumo for $49 lifetime deal. It is still there. Search for it. Plus, it integrates several other apps. Incredible deal–and it WORKS!

If I follow the steps in documentary and add the Mailpoet IDs to the existing Gravity form, it’s not forwarding the subscription to Mailpoet. If I use the “Feed” option it ends in a “critical error” Wordpress message. Any ideas / updates please!?

It’s a pity but the plugin no longer works after Mailpoet 3.9 update. I opened a ticket more than 2 weeks ago and I had no response. I asume the plugin is discontinued and I have to find a replacement for it.

Works differently than other add-ons, so I was confused. This is how you use it: Install and activate Go to Gravity Forms Plugin –> Forms –> Choose a form and click “Edit” (or create one) –> Settings –> MailPoet Add a “feed” depending on your needs IMPORTANT: Whoever fills out your form is not informed about being added to your Newsletter subscribers list by default! So you need to make that clear in you form. Best way to solve this is by adding a checkbox to your form. Then you use this for a “condition” in your feed. Hope this helps!
