National Geographic Adventurers of the Year, Dave and Amy Freeman, are memorable speakers who entertain and inspire audiences of all ages through their engaging school assemblies. They combine stunning images and videos with riveting accounts of their epic journeys to remote locations across the globe. School programs are routinely tailored to fully engage a variety of audiences including, K-12 school, colleges, libraries, nursing homes, conferences, and corporate events. The Freemans also use Zoom and other video conferencing technology to conduct virtual school assemblies.

School Assembly Topics include:

North American Odyssey:

Dave and Amy spent 3 years traveling by canoe, kayak, and dogsled across North America. Through out the project they visited schools to share their images, stories, and love of adventure with classrooms across the US and Canada. After completing this amazing journey National Geographic named them Adventurers of the Year and they continue to inspire, educate, and entertain audiences of all ages.

Trans-Amazon Expedition School Assembly:

Dave and Amy completed a 6-month, 3,000 plus mile journey by bicycle and canoe from the Pacific Ocean over the Andes Mountains, and across the Amazon Rainforest to the mouth of the Amazon River. This is their most sought-after program and has been delivered to hundreds of audiences.

Our Greatest Lake :

Amy and Dave circumnavigated Lake Superior during the stormy months of September and October in kayaks. Lessons in goal setting, communication, the Great Lakes, and freshwater conservation are interwoven with a firsthand account of their 1,100-mile journey.

Gone to the Dogs:

Dave and Amy have traveled thousands of miles by dogsled in both the U.S. and Canada. They often speak on a variety of topics relating to dogsledding and winter travel. Images, videos, winter camping and dogsledding equipment are used to enrapture the audience in the magical world of dogsledding, but their four legged ambassadors are always the real stars of this school assembly!
